Physics | Class XII
Location: BNR Excellence Academy, Gole Bazar, Kharagpur, India
Course Overview
In class XII, we will dive deeper to understand the nature of atoms. For this, we will learn about the interaction of charges and how it leads to electromagnetic waves (light).
Then we will try to understand the dual nature of light, wave and particle, revealed through different experiments. Finally, with all this knowledge, we will attempt to understand the structure of atoms, the nucleus and how they are formed.
In the last chapter, we will work on real examples of how solid materials, which are made of atoms, behave in practical systems, and how electronic interactions in orbitals lead to insulators, semiconductors and metals. This era of electronics and the internet stands on the Grey Gold silicon. The question of how Si has revolutionised the modern world will be explored through the working of the diode and transistor.
